Identity:
Diocese of Victoria Nyanza, St. John’s Mlima Sinai Parish, is the Swahili language conducted worship service. This service was created in 1980’s for the purpose of forming God worshiping congregation within the diocese
At large this service is comprised of the Anglicans background oriented and a few non-Anglican oriented members.  The Sunday services are done using the Swahili version liturgy thus the Anglican doctrine and culture are the paramount.

Administration
 The St John’s Mlima SinaiKamanga Church has two churches namely Kamanga and Karumo sub parishes. KamangaMlima Sinai is the main parish. Kamanga main parish has 16 elders, and has an average of about 80 people who attend each Sunday masses.  This Paris is led by The Rev Canon Samuel Kahene and The Evangelist Dominic Gulayi
Karumo Sub Parish has 6 elders and 25 members who attend every Sunday services.  Apart from ordinary members theses parishes are used to receiving between one and two visitors every Sunday each. The Sub Parish is led by The Rev Gerald Godwin Ruhere with an help of two lay evangelists.
St. John KamangaMlima Sinai is estimated to have about 300 members from the communities around and the Karumo Sub Parishes about 200 members who are not active thus the church has planned to reach and reactivate these people by the year 2020 – 2022.

To connect the unconnected brothers and sisters to Christ and together pursue full devotion to Christ by calling people to come, praise, do Bible Study, Receive blessings and spread the gospel.

To be the best Anglican Parishes that bless the people of God by provision of anointed Christian Prayers, teachings and fellowship in The Diocese of Victoria Nyanza and beyond

Membership;
John 1:12 ‘’yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave them right to become children of God’’. Therefore, membership is free of Charge, you need to come and introduce yourself to the either congregations and you will be registered in members register book.
We Have two main types of members namely the ordinary and visitors.
(1)   Regular / Ordinary Members;
These are the members who are within Mwanza Municipality or Kamanga areas. These are those considered as locals.
(2)   Visitors
These are the members who are not permanent. These may be those who are not in Mwanza or Kamanga. These are normally on short courses, trip/safari etc.

 The position of Bishop at DVN is vacant, however, the diocese is led by the Tanzania Primate Bishop, The Most Rt Rev Dr. William MndolwaMaimbo who is also the Bishop of The Diocese of Tanga pictured below.






















Rev  Canon Samuel Kahene, Snr Priest St John Parishes.
Rev Samuel Kahene has almost twenty years as ordained priest. He is married to Rev Hilda Kahene and they have three children.
Rev Canon Kahene has a long experience in social works and priest works. He has used his long time as a priest in various parishes within the Anglican diocese of Victoria Nyanza.
He has a Certificate in Theology from St. Philips Theological College Kongwa, Diploma in theology from William Cary , Durban, South Africa and Bachelor’s degree in Religious studies from National University USA. He has attended several courses in Counseling and leadership and project management at yhe international level.

Rev Gerald Ruhere is the Assistant Priest at the St John Parishes within the Anglican diocese of Victoria Nyanza. He is married to Julia Chacha and they have two children namely Glory and King. He has three years experience as ordained priest and has almost spent all that time working at St. Nicholas cathedral English speaking congregation.
He has a certificate in Evangelism from the Anglican Kasulu Bible College, Diocese of Western Tanganyika, First Degree in Bible and Theology from The Pan African Christian University Nairobi Kenya, Maters degree in Christian Leadership from New life Academy of Leadership USA (Transworld Accrediting International) and is the candidate for the masters degree in Logistics and Transport management from the Open University of Tanzania.
Currently he is the Director the Geita Region NGOs Network (GERENGONET), founder Director for the none governmental organization namely Community Development and Relief Mission (CODEREMI) and director for the Protection Company namely Unlimited Protection Aid Limited (UPAL).

He has had worked in mining and NGO sectors in the logistics and supply chain field, private marketing consultant in Supply of goods. He has attended many logistics local and international seminars and crush courses.




Rev Canon Razalo Manjelenga is the retired priest from the Anglican Diocese of Victoria Nyanza. He has six children to Annah Manjelenga. He became priest in 1972 and since then he was serving as technical financial personnel for the church in various PROFdioceses.
His profession background is finance as he graduated from Nyegezi Social Training Institute in early 1970’s. Thereafter he worked for the diocese of Victoria Nyanza, Africa Inland Church headquarters and the Anglican diocese of Mara.
At present Rev Canon Manjelenga works as financial advisor for the St. John Parishes within the diocese of Victoria Nyanza.

Hon. Sehewe Mamti is an active Anglican and works for the United Republic of Tanzania as the Regional State Attorney. He is married to Sophia Mamti and they have six children. Previously Hon. Mamti was the government general prosecutor
Hon. Mamti has the first degree in Law (L.L.B) from the University of Dar Es salaam and the candidate for the master’s degree in law from the St. Augustine University.
He has various community voluntary assignments and works for the St.  John Parishes as the legal advisor.
